Does anyone else notice how much Carlua likes Larva? Or how much Cait Sith loves his mom? And, in the TV series, Larva reportedly has a BOYFRIEND (let's all pretend that never happened). Spartoi's a brick, Amy's (supposedly) a man, contrary to poular opinion, and overall, the Japanese don't give the impression that they think highly of western civilization. Just an observation

About this whole Larva's boyfriend thing that's come up, I think it's all very subjectif. Garline, for example is obviously attracted to Larva, but Larva, when Garline sends Barrow to bring him back, says that the Larva Garline knew was dead and that he won't return and when he is forced to choose between Garline and Miyu, he kills Garline to save her. Do those sound like the actions of a man in love? As for Lemures, all he says in the OAVs is that Larva is more than just "a friend." We don't know what he meant by that. And I don't remember who said something about Lemunia, but Lemunia is Lemures' younger brother and he blames Larva for Lemures' death since, well, it was Larva that killed him... 'returned' him, anyway. Lemunia certainly doesn't want to be Larva's boyfriend. He's in love with Carlua. Of course, Carlua is in love with Larva and Larva is in love with Miyu so that leaves both of them unhappy. My point (I DO have one) is that since there's no proof either way, really, I can't say it's true or not true about Larva having a 'boyfriend'. I can only go by what I've seen and read.

There are five Shin (New) Vampire Miyu mangas, five Vampire Yui Mangas, and now six Miyu "small" mangas. She came out with the fifth one just last August or September, and the sixth came out just this month. As far as I know, she's still writing them! @~~{~~

For all the VPM and/or Larva fans out there who love to read fanfiction, I have good news. The fanfiction I am working on will hopefully be the longest out on the net. Chapter four is a little underway right now, and the whole story is over twenty pages. With all the misc. parts I've written in, that's over 40 pages of Miyu fanfiction, and that's not even a fraction of it. I hope to make it the longest on the net and the most original. Hopefully sometime I will have my own homepage, but until then, it will be on this page. It is the fanfic Kalana and I wrote for the contest but updated and re-written for the better.

I think the difference of anime and manga from here and Japan has to do with censorship. I know there are a few animes out there that are made for a more mature age group in Japan, probably early teens and up. When they bring it to the States the TV companies try to dub it over for a younger age group, probably about 5-10 years old. So a lot of themes and ideas are left out to probably keep the innocence of childhood. Yeah, right. Look at some of the shows kids can watch today. Sex, violence, foul language. "Cow and Chicken?" What the hell is that? (Sorry if I offend) That's one reason why I hope if they bring the VPM TV series here they leave it subtitled to keep originallity and for video release only. If they put it on the air it would be chopped up so badly that it wouldn't be the same anime. It's better when they translate manga because alot of the original themes and dialoge are kept the same, which is a reason why I like manga better.

I just thought I'd alert all you die-hard Miyu (and Larva) fans out there, a foul presence lurks. I'm sure you've all read Mistress Kei's wonderful fanfiction entitled 'Dreams and Nightmares", and those of you less fortunate have read "Nightmares and dreams", a horrible blend of Kei's story, worded differently, horribly, and with a Lemures-wanna-be as the shinma, named Ranka and behaving like Night Gia. They just stole, ripped apart, and disfigured Kei's writing, and then tacked on the exact ending from the second OAV. I've saved, read, and ripped apart this fanfic, in MST-form. Just, thought you should know, Kei. I suppose you should be thankful...your writing seems even MORE wonderful in comparison with whoever beat out their brain cells with that other monstrosity. Tee hee. *splat*

Hello again. I just recieved a very rare piece of Miyu merchandise; a sketch book of all the characters from the Miyu TV series that I won from e-Bay. From what I heard only 100 of these books were ever printed, so I doubt that they will be sold anywhere else. Anyway, in it is a great picture of Larva wearing his Western outfit from episode 3! First, Hyde, I have no idea, I've completed my collection of Miyu from Studio Ironcat and have probably 3-4 issues of Vampire Yui at the comic store still. Argh, got to make in there one of these days. Living in the boonies sucks, I should just start to mail order them, but I like supporting local (or fairly local) businesses.
Damn, I still haven't even finished watching the entire TV series, occupied by other things like Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption. Totally awesome game people. Completed it twice! Now I have a second evil known as EverQuest. Been spending a lot of time there as of late, if only they had playable vampires. *sigh* (You know I'd have a Larva if I could, ^_^)

Hi Everyone,I bring news concerning the Miyu manga series currently running in Sasuperia every month published by Akitashoten. I read this on Narumi Kakinouchi's offical web page.

The Miyu manga series will have it's final chapter this May.
The final chapter will appear in Sasuperia #6 2001. After that a new Vampire Yui manga will run in Sasuperia.
So if anyone wants to check out the few last months of Miyu Kinokuniya book store in CA offers subscriptions to Sasuperia. I am saddened by this news I am a major Larva fan...Sigh I was happy to see new pics of him in Sasu every month and to read the story.

Remember Yuma from Miyu manga volume 4? Well she makes her come back for revenge against Miyu for killing her shinma lover Tsubaki.
